It is fair to say things don’t always happen at the right time. I have a serious dentist phobia, I leave for Portugal in 19 days and have a major dental abcess which is making the right hand side of my face look like a tennis ball. It is a testament to the level of pain that I went to the dentist without throwing my toys out of my pram but I have to wait until the antibiotics kill the infection before I can have it taken out. So I am currently unable to talk or eat anything other than soup and taking strong painkillers every 3 hours which are hardly making a dent in the pain.

On the other hand, this could have happened just after we GOT to Portugal, so I suppose in a strange, round-about kind of way I should be glad it happened now. I think…..
